ClinicalRM Awarded Contract for the U. S. Air Force Center for Advanced Molecular Detection (CAMD)
February 1, 2012, Hinckley, OH – Clinical Research Management (ClinicalRM), a full-service Contract Research Organization providing services for basic and applied research, clinical trials, and regulatory support, announced today it was awarded the U.S. Air Force contract to conduct infectious disease surveillance and molecular biology research at the Center for Advanced Molecular Detection (CAMD) located on Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
Within the terms of the contract, the ClinicalRM scientists and technicians conduct Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and DNA sequencing research and evaluate diagnostic devices. Their team of highly qualified and experienced research nurses supports human clinical studies through patient consent, enrollment, sample collection, and data collection as well as working closely with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. Among other responsibilities, ClinicalRM’s work for CAMD supports the Graduate Medical Education (GME) program helping medical residents write study protocols and the research procedures to help accomplish that work.

The Center for Advanced Molecular Detection (CAMD), formerly Advanced Diagnostics Lab (ADL), is part of Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, 59th Medical Wing, Lackland AFB.
