Victoria Tifft is the president and owner of CRM. She has developed
an excellent reputation in the clinical research and development field.
Her unique background combines biomedical research with skilled interpersonal
relationships. She has coordinated and conducted FDA approved clinical
vaccine and drug trials as both a Project Manager and a Study Coordinator.
Victoria graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University
of Akron in Ohio. She furthered her education with graduate studies in
Parasitology. She was selected by the U. S. Peace Corps to serve in Togo,
West Africa where she worked with a variety of medical teams to provide
education to the local population for the prevention and treatment of
local health issues and diseases (malaria, dysentery, dehydration, and
sanitation) and to administer vaccinations to children. Her tenure in
Africa gave her an extraordinary perception into the research of third
world health problems.
After returning from West Africa, Victoria worked as a biologist for
the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History (Wash. DC) developing
a meticulous tracking and documenting system for biological specimens.
From the Smithsonian, she joined the staff at the Ronald McDonald House
in Washington DC and coordinated the volunteer staff program. During her
service, she befriended many families with chronically ill children. This
experience solidified Victoria’s interest in helping children and
adults through the prevention and curing of many diseases. These successes
led her to a career as a consultant to various research companies. As
the demand for her regulatory knowledge of clinical trials and management
expertise grew, she created CRM in 1992. Her goal in 1992 —to provide
excellent research and program management for vaccine, drug and device
projects throughout the world—is still guiding the company today.
Under Victoria’s management, CRM assisted the U.S. Army in creating
a Clinical Trials Center for the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.
This Center tests new vaccines against infectious diseases of military
importance and has become a highly recognized and respected center throughout
the world. CRM’s staff of clinical coordinators, data experts and
subject recruiters continue to manage this Clinical Trials Center today.
CRM’s expertise and growth has expanded into the clinical data
management and regulatory compliance. CRM has supported fundamental and
applied biomedical research for the development of vaccines, drugs and
devices to prevent, diagnose and treat diseases for humankind both in
the U.S. and overseas. CRM staff have supported research laboratories
engaged in gene cloning, genetic engineering, recombinant vaccine therapies,
drug synthesis and efficacy and biological assay development. CRM staff
also manages a Pilot Bio-Production Facility in Silver Spring, MD offering
clinical-grade production for Phase I/II material.
